Hi everyone,

I've been reading this website since I bought my 1964 Dart a couple of months ago. I'd been able to get a lot of information off the site without having to ask any questions-- until now.
I've been swapping a lot of parts off of a 1973 duster that I bought. Both of my cars were running driving cars, though the Duster was rusted through. I did the intake swap, ditching the single for the double. Everything went pretty smoothly until I tried to start it up. I get a little bit of idle, then it stalls and flames shoot out of the carb. I haven't touched the timing-- or anything else for that matter. Do I need to adjust the timing because of the additional fuel from the new carb? Or is it something else entirely? Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks

Probably a vacuum leak somewhere. Double check all your vacuum ports on the new carb, the vacuum tree where the power brakes tie into the manifold, the carb to manifold junction and (biggest pain) the manifold to head junction...

Does the new "Super Six" set-up hvae the EGR valve on it, the valve could be stuck in the open position.

Thanks for the help. It was a couple different vacuum leaks. It runs great now.
