I figured this may be the best place to ask. What's a set of decent shape factory high back buckets for a '74 Duster worth? White if it make a difference. Are the Duster seats the same for Cudas and Challengers.

Also trying to figure out how hard a swap out is for bench to bucket and vise versa.

So far a shabby set of factory buckets for a late A-body are about $850 on e-bay... I was lucky to get a car with one, and pick up a spare set for about $100...

Buckets have a seconda rail in each pan, and the front bolt hole near the tranny tunnel has a 16 gauge plate welded in place to reinforce it for some reason...

You can use any seat in any car, it's just a matter of getting the seat rails, or making it work with some engineering...

I used bucket seats out of a Lazer, I think they look good. The price was 40.00 for the pair.

I used buckets from a '01 Toyota Camry. a bit of fiddling to fabricate mounting rails,but good seats and look fine.
car is a '67 VC Valiant (Australia).

Those look great, fishin' Rod. The buckets in my 67 lack the sideways support to keep you centered in seat. Also no head support in a rear collision. I guess the steering wheel moves to the other side of the car south of the equator.

I just got a set of buckets for $75.00 (need recovering) but the guy made me take the '65 Valiant that they were in as well. I'm not complaining.

well,after 63 years,I am quite used to having the steering wheel on that side of a car.
you could always look at your monitor in a mirror if you want to see it in LHD mode.

I'm just now putting Scat sport seats in my Dart and taking out a freshly reupholstered (black) low back bench seat with armrest.

I put Monza seats in my '64 Barracuda using the original Barracuda rails since it already had bucket seats.

You can make just about anything work with some ingenuity.

What's the opinion, or a good price for a set of factory high back buckets with rails from a '74 A-Body, tan cloth front with leather backs and pockets, and a matching center jumpseat/armrest? No tears in the seats, armrest has one small tear.

Or a asplit bench with armrest high backs, with a matching back seat bottom and top skin, matching scamp/dart doorpanels and rear panels worth?

I've seen seats going on ebay for big bucks and I'm trying to decide what to keep, what to sell, or if I should find another a body to wrap around a good set of seats. Decisions, decisions, decisions......

If it was me, I would find the seats that you like best and spend some dough to get them re-covered and maybe new foam. This is where you spend most of your time so you may as well be comfortable. My personal favorite is a the bench/ buckets that I run in my '64. Bench bottom with high back bucket tops and a buddy seat.
