The temp gauge on my recently purchased 64 dart (225) doiesn't work. I tried grounding out the wire at trhe sending unit but nothing happens. The fuel gauge is also permanently set at 1/4 full. The speedometer also doesn't work! I need a jpicture of the under dash wiring cause It has been raped, and any other advice I could get. thanks darters...Bill

Sounds like you already reviewed the posts below, you should test the fuel gauge the same way, go back to the gas tank, un-plug the wire and ground it, let us know if you get any gas gauge movement.

As for the speedo-no-worko, the wiring dia. won't help this, it is all mechanical. Reach-up under the dash and unscrew the speedo cable from the back of the speedometer "head". Once it is off, pull down the cable and see if you can pull-out the center cable "core". Also reach-up and see if the "socket" on the the back of the speedo spins with no resistance.
