So what on the 1945 should i remove. I want to keep her running clean but what are high failure items as far as emissions control that will cause drive ability issues. I am getting ready to do a 1945 rebuild and want her to run good for a while...... |

There's nothing on the carb you can 'remove', all the 'emissions' parts are on the engine or in the exhaust assembly... all you have to do is cap the EGR nipple and remove that part of the system if your state doesn't check for it, and you aren't going to need it... everything else should stay... Also if your 1945 is the original 1974 model, you will want to pull the main jet and up the size from a 58 to say a 60, and see how that goes... -D.Idiot |
