Post subject:  need some help with my slant six

hey guys i was wondering if i could get someone to help me to my car drive the way i remember it when i first drove it when i frist start it up in the morning it fire right up than it die ? also i was wondering if someone where i live would show me how to adjust my valve

Sounds like the carb needs a rebuild kit through it and some recalibration. Talk to the carb guys to verify.
The valve adjustment is pretty easy. All you need is a 3/8 wrench, feeler guage, and an alligator clip. Warm-up the engine till it's pretty hot. Take off the valve cover and connect the alligator clip from the starter and hold the other end. Click the engine over by tapping the hot end of the battery with the alligator clip. Just line up the valves by watching the engine turn over and the rocker arm go up and down. It'll take a little bit to get used to, but not much brain power. Good luck!
