Well done mate. What model Valiant are you driving? just trying to get an idea of how much weight you're moving. Your terminal speed suggests you should be doing better times than you are. Are you getting any wheel spin on the start? I've run a 16.37@84mph so I would of thought you'd be around the mid to low 16's with 85mph. Especially with the 3.23 LSD and the engine mods you've done. That 16.37 I did was with a 2.92 std diff. I've since put in a locked 3.7 diff which gave me a 15.58@87 but I'll soon be putting in a 3.23 LSD just to make it more streetable. Hopefully what I lose with the gear change I'll gain back when I finally |

hey wow there are lots of ozzies getting around in here i don`t know about the traction issue.. but i am trying to get a vf sedan (1640 kg ) to do a 16.99 or quicker this year .. the diff is a little old and it mite be stuffing up a little . so i hope i can get a good hook up out of the hole . the main thing my slant has is awsome mid range 2200- 4500 so i think i may need a bigger convertor .. or a better cam the on ive got is a 25\65 409" lift .. your loooking at loosing more waight .. the black sheep |

Definitely degree in the cam. I do it every time now. There are MANY other factors. Good head work and a high stall converter will do wonders. Also, make sure your timing advance is 26-30 deg total mechanical advance at 2800+ rpm (vacuum unhooked). Lou |
