OK, so from what I've read, a Super Six is a slant six with a double barrel Carter carb, correct?

If so, what is the power difference and MPG difference on running a stock slant six (with a single barrel carb) versus a Super Six?

Reason I'm asking is a found one for $200 bucks not too far from home. Worth it? I was thinking yes, but I would like your input. Thank you. :)

With everything, as long as it's in good shape, sure.

Did you look in parts for sale?

Shipping shouldn't be too much. It's nice to be able to put your hands on it, and check condition. They are still out there, but are becoming harder to find.

Good Luck with your search!

Also, say I bought a Super Six Manifold. No carb.

Can I use my 44IDA Weber on it? :?:

Not a clue on the Weber.

Just the manifold? $200 bucks would be a bit rich for my taste. I picked up my Offy Stack and 390 Holley for $350 with a 225 attached. It came with an instrument cluster, working stock radio and a tail light at that price.

I paid too much.

That's about the going rate these days. It'd be nice if it had the Pie Tin. That's not a show stopper though.

Sometimes you'll luck out and find a setup for less, It's not something your likely to find every day though. It's probable that these will become more expensive with time.
It should be in good shape, with a rebuildable BBD. Is there a reason you want to run the Weber?

What vehicle is this going into? The Super Six does pretty well economy wise. What that means depends on where your starting. Some of the 1bbl setups are pretty good.

What vehicle is it for? What are you starting with?

The MPG difference depends on what you're getting right now. Some guys pull 20-23mpg with their 1BBL Holley 1920's. If you put a Super Six on something like that then you probably aren't going to see a difference in mileage. I was only getting 10-12mpg with my remanufactured Holley 1920. Put the super six setup on and now im at 18.5mpg.

Hey guys I was wondering about the kickdown linkage on the Super Six. If it is a 904 kickdown linkage will it fit all the trannies? Is there a difference in anything? Thanks a lot!

A 904 kickdown for the super six is not the same as for a 1 BBL. If you have a manual tranny you wont need the kickdown at all. I hope that answered your question.

What I meant was, Will a kickdown linkage for a 904 automatic transmission fit any other automatic transmission? Or is it different for every transmission? Do I need to change transmissions when I convert to a Super Six? Thanks

I dont know if a 904 kickdown linkage will fit other auto trannys. You will not need to swap out the 904. The 904 is the best auto for a slant 6 you can use.

Are 904 small bolt pattern? or large? Does anyone else know if a 904 kickdown linkage will fit all or some other trannies? Thanks

I wasn't able to buy the super six setup.
But I have a chance to buy a super six manifold for 160 bucks shipped.
Worth it or should I just buy a Offenhauser or Clifford setup?
I just thought it would be nice to use as many Mopar parts as possible.

$160 for just the manifold is not a good deal unless you're the seller. You can usually buy an aluminum 4bbl manifold for that much.
