There are two bolts by the egr on the intake. What do they connect to? Into the exhaust manifold?

are you looking at the two bolts that run through the intake and the exhaust manifolds, if so you throttle cable and kick down rod bracket attachs the the treads on the bottom with 1/2in nuts/ 5/16 treads.

I think my exhaust manifold lost the part where the bolts screw in. What can I do now?

that is a hard fix if the two long bolt that hold the intake/exhaust together have not enough treads showing below the exhaust manifold to attach the cable/kickdown bracket. most bolts brake when you try to remove them and then you have to drill the exhaust manifold and repair the treads or over size the holes and replace with longer bolts and nuts.

Well I feel stupid now. My brother pointed out to me that the bolt broke. I thought it was just another bolt at the bottom. Well now I got to put it all back on the engine.
