I'm quite sure that everyone has had this problem. The plastic rollers and the slides have seen better times. What can I do to make the controls work better? It's a non AC car. l drucker@sbcglobal.net |

Some of the "tricks" I have used include sprying some WD-40 type stuff into the control slots, also wiping down the control cables with an oil soaked rag. (the oil soaks through the wound cable jacket) If that does not solve the problem, disconnect the cables from the heater box to determan if the control / cable is causing the problem or if the flaps inside the heater box are sticking. Sometimes an assist spring is used to help reduce the pressure at the lever. Check to see if the spring is there and not stretched. ( mounted at the heater box end of the cable) DD |
