I finally got this car to this coast and I want to fix a few things. It runs fine, but off the line it bogs initially. If there is any gas, it pulls fine, but right off the line it stumbles badly. Any suggestions? It is only making about 5 or 6 pounds of boost. Thanks Chris |

What carb are you using? |

Carter AFB 1721. Not really sure of the condition, but I may put a kit in it just for good measure. |

I would try more initial advance and maybe bigger squirter's on accelerator pump. Does it surge at all when going down the road. |

No noticeable surging. It gets up and goes once it is rolling. Chris |

I suspect you have too little accelerator pump shot and may not be able to get enough accelerator pump delivery from your Carter carb. I'm thinking a Holley with a 50cc accelerator pump, blue cam and a fairly large nozzle. That would give a big initial pump shot and keep the engine from bogging off the line. |
