When I put the Damper Doctor damper on Bill's motor something looked funny about it, but I could not pin it down. It went on as far as the old one did, but looked weird. Last week we stuck the water pump pulley and fan on and the pulley was not quite a belt width off from the groove in the damper. I measured the damper depth against the one on my junk and it was the same. I took the new one off of the motor and compared it to the old one. Lo and behold it struck me like a rock to the head. The cast style outer ring has an offset to one side, the groove is not centered. The new one was backwards from the old one. Bill is calling DD next Tuesday to see what they will do about it. :?

In the meantime I am going to install a cam stop in his cover while we are there. :D

The good news is the we did get his manual steering floor shift column installed, and the Tuff Wheel. Man, those are a nice looking steering wheel. :D :D :D
