That skip in my 75 dart is much better with the wire so I will take the instrument panel out and see if the problem is in the amp gauge. Could the ignition switch be shorting? Thanks again. melam@nxs.net |

Mike, You should be able to reach the gauge terminals from the back without removing the cluster. I think they're 5/16"-wrench nuts. This is likely the problem - pretty common, especially if someone has monkeyed around under the dash. Make sure to disconnect the battery first so you don't spot weld anything under the dash... Lou |
