ok guys, what years had vented gas caps?? was it all non emision era cars?? i currently have a non-vented on my 61(a no-no, i think). i may keep it and just disconnect the vent tube by the tank(under car). this would also stop the annoying spillage by the cap, right  ??..............steve

All the caps were unvented until '70 (California) '71 (Federal/Canada), when a valve-regulated vented cap, called a "Pressure-Vacuum" cap, was introduced. |
