| Post subject: | speedometer cable troubles |
looking for a speedo cable for a 64 valiant v100. bought a NOS one off of ebay. trans part went in and length was right and everything, except the nut to screw onto the back of the speedo is too large. is there an adapter for that or where I could get the right cable at? |

The cable you need suits 1960-1965 Dart, Valiant, Barracuda, and Lancer. Should be able to get the right cable from Pat Blais, tflitepatty@verizon.net . Or you can order it under part number T-180 from Andy Bernbaum, specifying that it is for a 1962 Plymouth Valiant (he doesn't officially support anything past '62). The weird thing is that there should only be one size of top (speedo connection) nut on all of these cables. What was the part number of the one you got off eBay? |

ordered one from andy. I'm not sure what the part # was, I threw away the box last year when I began to assemble this car, I'm kindof curious too tho. |
