who (if any) makes a split pattern cam for the slant? i have looked on summit but all they seem to have is standard durations ie. 252/252, 262/262. would running a split pattern make any more difference than a regular cam?

Call Hughes Engines (a VERY Mopar friendly company) 1-309-745-9558
(Illinois ) They have SL6 cams in split duration, in fact most of their cams are
split duration. One thing to keep in mind is that racing experience has shown that the SL6 favors a "reverse split duration", i.e. more duration on the INTAKE at least for performance oriented motors. I suspect a motor stuck with old-fashioned RESTRICTIVE smog equipment would do better with a "normal" split duration cam.

PM or talk to Doc on the forum here as he has the specs for some really good split cams. As Charrlie says use the Erson Group cam buy and save some money. I got 2 complete cams with all the goodies (lifters springs etc) for what most places charge for 1.
