Dusterteen,

I'm assuming that you are dealing with a 4 drum setup in your Duster.

Find yourself any large bolt pattern A-Body, 67-76, resting in a junkyard and swap the rear axle, it's a direct fit. That will take care of the back end.

The best way to approach the front end is to find a '73 and up disc brake car. Swap the spindles, rotors, calipers, upper A-arms, master cylinder, etc. from that car into yours. Then you get both large pattern wheels AND brakes that stop really well. The entire procedure is outlined at bigblockdart.com

Note that there are several other possible swaps for the rear axle, including Ford Ranger axles, Ford Maverick axles, and host of others. Each one has its own set of issues, all of which are resolvable with time, effort and cash. Most of these other swaps will give you a stronger axle than the 7.25 that's probably in your Duster now.

LBP for A-bodies is a 1973+ item...
Any 1967-1976 might have SBP 9" or 10" drums on all wheels... if you look at the front brakes and they are discs on the '73+ then you are in business for front and rear BBP items...

Remember the earlier it gets, the worse it gets... a 318 car would more than likely get 10" drums (SBP)... the only LBP vehicles in that 'era' are the big cars (like the New Yorker...)... (even up to 1972 a 340 Demon would more than likely get a set of K-H disc brakes and a SBP 8 3/4" rear....but your friendly neighborhood 318 equipped Barracuda would be optioned for drums and LBP rallyes...)

keep lookin... (you can also check the early cars, in hopes that someone did a conversion on the car... but most people that put that much effort into the car... will part it down before it goes to a wrecking yard...)
