Has anyone ever tried to make one? I know it'd be tough, but man, it would sure be cool. Can't imagine what it would cost... |

There is not much more we can add to that.Everyone knows the SL6 could use a "nice" aftermarket cylinder head but there is a pretty big gap between the price of making such a head and what people would actually pay for one. DD |

Has it ran or did the epoxy break on the starter? |

I would think that an SOHC design would be the easiest to make. I've always tried to think how the rods would be rerouted. You could go SOHC eliminate the push-rods and rockers..go flat head style and make the lift all from the lifter. You couldnt go too radical on the cam, but I've seen relativly quite a few SOHC flat heads. I've looked at the kits, and there isnt really much to them. The hardest thing would be re-routing the timing chain, and exhaust. Either way, its a lotta work. I've thought about it, I run a CNC shop, but i think in the end, I'm not THAT into Slant sixes. |

I was talking about manually milling out old school style with a vertical Bridgeport. I'm pretty good at the mill, but not that good I'm afraid... Either way, it would pretty freakin sweet. Are there any slant sixes out there with Hilborn type injection? That wold look pretty neat. |

There is , of course the Legendary Supra head swap. ....almost a bolt on....biggest problem is intake angle. I think the kit is very reasonable at $299...... |

The Toyota M-engine Supra head is no where close to fitting. The uneven bore spacing of the slant six makes the odds of finding something that matches very slim indeed. |
