I am at last pulling the 68 Cuda's head Ordering Valves from Engine Builder
1.7 1.44
Roller Chain from Hughes,

Was wondering If I should stick with stock cam 414/244 jobbie with 1.6 ratio roller rockers
or go for the 270 Erson cam with stock rockers - trying to gain hp by reducing friction, and improving induction

Advice please

Put the right cam in it for what you want to do and forget about the 1.6 rockers, especially for a street car. The proper cam and lifters will be way cheaper than a set of rockers anyway. :?

Yes, I have a set and have tested them back to back at the track on my motor. They showed no gain over a set of RAS stock rebuilts.

A set of RAS rebuilts are about $350 cheaper too. :D

The Erson 270deg cam keep catching my eye - with the huges twin roler timing chain, bigger valves, the long ram twin weber manifold and a long primary tube header setup

Trying to build a engine with torque that can breathe at higher rpms and this is the combo I came up with - so rollers not such a good idea - was wondering about their reliability

Well - the gasket sets have arrived, Waiting for the valves - and she will be off to the cylinder head shop
