is there a possible way of doing this without using a torque wrench my filter seemed pretty clogged up and its slipping in d 1 2 and and not engaging.. dave |

You have more problems then the kickdown band. The band is only applied in 2nd gear. Sounds like it is time for a rebuild. |

time for a tranny swap to the 727 from 80 marauder sitten in the back of the truck i just knew it would go |

You will need the 727 torque converter, and possibly a different flex plate. Check to see if the converter bolts match the holes in the flex plate. You will also have to shorten the driveshaft and change the slip yoke. |

It would be unusual to have a slant six 727 combo in that car, but they were available. |

ya a buddy of mine his brother had 2 slant sixes from old derby cars stored in a barn he couldnt kill em but didnt think they had enough power.one super six from a 79 diplomat that i put in my truck ,and one 1bbl sl6 with a 727 that was from a mirada id asume the tranny is geared higher it bein a car what do you think? |
