Still haven't had a chance to get good pictures. The tag on the fender wall is very hard to take a picture of because of age but is legible. I will write down the codes and post. I do have my first question though. Yesterday I went to lunch and stopped to check my tire pressure. When I pulled in to check the tire pressure I had the A/C on. I turned the car off and adjusted my tire pressure. When I got back in the car to start it, the blower motor did not come back on. All fuses under the dash are good. I found the blower motor mounted to the firewall in the engine bay and traced all wiring. Everything seemed fine. A buddy told me they are prone to failure because of their location and tapping on it will sometmes make it come back on. Well that didn't work either. I will be checking the voltage to the motor tonight. If the voltage checks out ok, is there anything else I should check before I buy a new motor? Also anyone know the speaker size in the rear deck for a 75 Scamp? Thanks in advance all!! Joe |

have you checked the switch itself (in the dash)? I have had them go on me when the motor was fine. I have a '75 duster, so we have the same dash. if you take out the switch housing and see any sign of corrosion I would start there. especially if you have ever had any sort of leak in the windsheild. you can hotwire a blowermotor too, just to see if it is working. if you need to get at it you can by simply pulling out your glovebox. I beleive you'll have the same cardboard insert that I have. once that is out you can reach everything (its just a couple screws). by the way, I am a huge carlin fan myself. |

Thanks for the info. I'll pull the glove box and see what I can find. The motor itself looks like it is in the engine bay on the passenger side. It has two wires green and white. I traced them back to drivers side where I found several plugs and many other wires. All the connections looked fine and nothing is cracked or brittle. I'll post back with what I find. Side note.... Carlin is my favorite comedian. I had the opportunity to see him front row at the Keswick Theater in glenside, pa about 7 years ago. Best show I ever saw. Had another chance to see him an Atlantic City, NJ a few months before he passed but the person buying the tickets for some reason didn't get me the ones promised. I have an extensive collection of his shows including the TV series he ran a while back. Joe |

The speaker size in the rear deck should be 6" x 9". That's pertty much the standard for '60s and '70s era Ameican cars. |

Awesome thanks for the speaker size! I took the glove box out and used the power wire for the light in the glove box to jump the blower motor. It fired right up. With the power jumped, I was able to use the switch to select all three fan speeds. I'm guessing there must be a power issue with the control unit. When i select A/C I hear the click under the hood for the compressor and it cycles. All other fuctions work normaly except the fan powering up. Any ideas? Thanks again!!! Joe |

I have only a couple episodes taped on VHS and missed most of the others. Damn FOX network messing with time frames! |
