The big meet at Medford is coming up..this is the notalgia drags weekend with all the Gasser cars, BBQ, Car Show..Friday Night drags (if you want to) and two full days of racing. Slant6 will race on Saturday with $600.00 purse and then again on Sunday with $500.00 purse with the Inliner group (if any show up..). This is the next to last race for 2008 and I got a concerned call from Seymour that the East of the Mississippi club are close in overall points to taking the team championship away from us..We need any and all slant6 cars to show up at least on Saturday at Medford..If we can get 17+ cars, we can have a 50 point race..that will be the first for 2008 and the extra 10 points may make a difference on who wins the National Team Title. Track will again be open on Friday for those of you that want to set up 'camp' on Friday. David will reserve a large area along the track for our cars and I will park my truck in the shaded area to reserve for CJ/Richard/Andrew/Rob/Joshua et al. BEE AT MEDFORD ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 23 |

Hi Andrew: We can always count on your guys..thanks...I am also bringing two cars...I think I have my 170 car running good enough after the oiling problem at Redding. David has his 34' with a repaired transmission and new transbreak. Now, with your two cars we have (5) so far...Come on guys...How many are coming to the big two day meet at Medford? The camping area isn't on a par with Woodburn, but there are showers and restrooms now. If your going to tent camp, bring something in a mattress, or cot to sleep on. Most of the camping spots are on gravel, and shade is limited. We're looking forward to seeing you there! CJ |

I was just looked at http://www.championraceway.com/08nwreuniondetails.htm it states "Event open to 1972 & older vehicles." also it states "no electronics allowed except in Bracket I class" So does that mean a 74 cant race? Are we bracket I class? Are most or all of the races for /6s 72 or older?
