I can't figure out how to get the key barrel out of the manual rear window crank on my wag. Any Ideas? Thanks - M

i'm holding my extra crank (insert joke here) and you gotta revove it from the car. Open tailgate insert (million screws) and remove the 3 mounting screws. Remove crank, inside the splined collar there is a "pin" push in this pin(finger works) then twist spline collar left and slide out collar to expose tumbler. Pull the pin on lock and voila!

Thanks for the reply, but my assembly seems a bit different. The tumbler cylinder is wholly encased in a solid housing. There is a tiny hole in one side of the housing which would seem to access some kind of spring clip but I have had no success.

I've not dealt with your assembly, but often automotive locks require that the key has to be in and turned to a certain position for the spring relase to work. When I haven't had the key, I've drilled down through the hole, destroying the retaining clip, and then slid the cylinder out that way.
