I am looking for opinions on which is better performance a super six set up or a two barrel intake modified to accept a four barrel carb and which four barrel carb set-up works best. Thanks Jim. |

Don't bother trying to put a 4bbl carburetor on a 2bbl intake. Breathing through a funnel isn't any better than breathing through one small hole. If all you have is the 2bbl Super Six intake manifold and the engine is stock then use the Super Six carb. If you do engine mods then you could use an adapter to put a Holley 2300 series 2bbl on that manifold. If you feel the need for a 4bbl then buy a 4bbl manifold and top it with a Holley 390 (list 8007), an Edelbrock 500 or is you can find one, a 400 CFM Carter AFB. |

Thank you that is the advice I was looking for! I am going to go with the super six set-up because I already have everything exept the carb. I just did not want to buy a two barrel carb if I could easily install a four barrel on my intake and still get the performance. |
