Now that I've repaired my fried wiring I need to change the gaskets on the oil pan and trans pan. I've searched through past threads about going about this and most people just pull the engine. At this point I don't have the means to pull the engine which brings me to this post. Also I don't have the fundages of taking it to a shop (plus I'd have to tow it). I read over and over in my FSM and they say to just unbolt the driver side motor mount and jack the engine about 1-2 inches. Where can I jack it? Can I jack it under the pan and then put something in to wedge the engine so I can remove the jack? The FSM talks of some part that goes under the motor mount? If I can't jack the engine up under the pan where else can I? Thanks in advane and sorry for a repetitive question -Dan

I just did this last saturday. Loosen both engine mounts and put a piece of plywood between the jack and the oilpan. Then block the left engine mount with a short piece of wood.

You'll have to drop the center link to remove the oilpan. And watch your radiator when jacking
