Howdy everyone, just wondering if anyone here had any experience repairing cracked aluminum intakes? I've got mine at a welding shop right now, and between the two choices, one said he'd need a cylinder head to mount the intake to to make sure it's right, the other just said "I can do it", after looking at how clean a break it was, and that it was right at the end of the #6 runner. So, just how scared should I be by this process, and how badly may I have screwed up? The welder's shop by the way did look a bit ramshackle, but a few samples of his work that were around did look very nice. When I showed up, he appeared to be scratch-building a belly pan for something...not sure what.
