Jerry Elhard (Woodburn points winner) has some Slant Six guys together to race Saturday night at Portland International Raceway with the Street Legal drags. It's just for fun, nothing else. The gates open at 6 p.m. It costs $25 to race, plus you have to buy a number, which is like $10, if I remember right. You can get quite a few passes. It starts to thin out about 10 p.m. and goes until midnight. Just make sure your headlights are working well. If you're going, let Jerry know. (360) 608-9755. Me, I'm racing dwarf cars with Dave Lewis down at Willamette Speedway. |

Hey Bill! What's the times and prices at Willamette? I'd like to see your Dwarf Car! That, and it's within range of the pager. CJ |

man i wish i could go to this because PIR is 5 miles from my house, but my dart is in pices again. i just removed the exhaust pipe from the glass pack back to the stinger, because i need to get the new big pipe made. and we are using the old small pipe as a template for the over the axel bend. the dart should be pretty damn loud with my new exhaust setup. if any of you racers are gonna be in town (portland) your welcome to drop by my house for a cold one and a burger. neil parker - aka MiDi |

Yup, it's this Saturday the 13th. It's pretty informal. Ed Yost is one of those racing, and he was talking about something called legend killer. For Willamette, Adult: $14.00 Senior: $12.00 (62 & over) Children: $6.00 (12 & under), but I don't think you will pass for 12. Trophy dashes are scheduled to start at 6 p.m., but Dave and I'll probably hit the track 6:30ish. I'm in the red 05, Dave's driving the silver 73. It's not a Slant Six, I'm afraid, as Suzuki never made them. More of a slant fourish (if all four cylinders are firing right). |
