I am thinking about putting a Grant steering wheel on my '66 Dart. I was wondering about size. The steering is manual, not power. Anyone have any experiences about whether a 15" or 13" is better? It is tough steering with the stock 15" wheel, especially for my wife. Would a 13" wheel help or make it tougher, especially as I am looking to put 14" wheels on, too. Thanks. Smaller rubber and larger steering wheel = easier steering. Later, Dan "I may be slow, but at least I'm not very fast!" |

I had a 13" Grant wheel on my 68 Barracuda for a while but it was a real handful at low speeds (especially with the 235/60-14 front tires). I have a 15" Grant now and that is acceptable for me but is still a handfull for my wife. Dave Clement Hot-Rod 6 dave.clement@motorola.com |
