I was thinking about installing a tranny cooler in my '78 Volare. Not in addition to the one in the radiator, but mounting a tranny cooler near the back of the car, and running the lines from the trans back to it. I would think that a cooler mounted near the back of the car, away from the engine bay, would stay cooler. I removed the stock fuel tank and installed a fuel cell, so there is plenty of space in the back.
Am I way off here? Any opinions are welcome, thanks.
