just back from the track, the car ran a best of 11.45et@115mph, this was with carbs jetted up 2 sizes on all corners and water injection set at 1000cc p/min, up from 800cc p/min, timing set at 18degs, up from 15degs. the #1 cyl was at 60psi after first run down from 75psi all others were 90psi to 100psi.all plugs were good with no sign of detonation. this really suprised me because last weekend it ran 11.40et@115mph before the water pump motor failed and over heated the engine and blew the head gasket, burnt #1piston and hurt the valve seats when all the aluminum went flying around. she was still going fine untill i wanted to see what 1 to1 drive would do will when i pulled 3rd and look at the boost gauge it was at 15 psi boost, i lifted but it was to late and the top rad hose blew when the head gasket failed .i did not think going from 5psi at 10% under to 1to1 would give 15psi, will i think i have a comb i can make live, i just need to build a fresh engine and keep the 10% under setup. :D
