I am thinking of fabbing up a tow bar for my Dart, and the materials/welding part of it is no problem, but I have 1 concern. How do I keep the tires on the Dart from turning while the tow vehicle is going straight? Do the tires naturally go the way I am leading? Or will they want to turn to the side? Anyone have any experience with this? |

well you can tow it backwards in neutral or have someone steer the car for you its not good for the transmission if you dont take out the drive shaft... i took 2 L shaped pieces to go around the bumper welded chains on the ends of them drilled holes for bolts and hooked them to a to a trailer hitch it wasnt difficult as long as your a good welder |

Don't lock up the steering. The tires track automatically when you're going forward. But when you're go backwards the tires get terribly confused...... |

Might want to do a search on this as I remember a year or so ago this was a problem for someone here on the board. They couldnt get it to track straight. Frank |
