do they still make clear dizzy caps? they had them at school and all the instructors say they were the oldschool hot jam |

They weren't much of any good back in the day, because of poor dielectric strength (= poor resistance to flashover) and with today's higher-power ignition system options, they'd be even a worse pick... ...and I don't think they ever made them for the slant-6. Other than that it's a terrific idea. |

Yeah, get a clear dizzy cap and one of those in-line spark testers for each cylinder! Then break out the acid and shrooms and put a lava lamp on the air cleaner.... |

| Post subject: | actually, cutting a hole to index your rotor is a good thin |
If you are recurving, it is useful to take a spare cap and cut a hole in the top so you can see if the rotor is dead center to a contact. If not you can adjust to center the rotor. Useful indeed at high rpm, maybe not so needed if using Dan's MO3000. rock '64d100 |
