Welcome on the board. When you say the resistors are "overheating", what do you mean? What signs tell you the resistors are failing because they are getting too hot? And what kind of coil and what kind of ignition system are you running?

Post subject:  Hey, I am still interested in your problem

Marcomini,

Dan wasn't being a wise guy in asking what he did, and I am waiting to see what you send back. It is an interesting problem if the resistor is melting.

Have you measured resistance across the resistor cold, and then after you think it is "blown"? Are you having no continuity after you think it is "blown"? Have you measured voltage across the resistor with your Ign key off, then measured with it on? What is the result?

I assure you sitting on the firewall it will get so hot you would think you can cook an egg on it so don't grab it hot.
