Car Model:
I picked up a set of NOS NMOPAR Performance Headers and it looks like they will fit the my slant six Volare just fine. Now I have another concern. The stock sl6 exhaust exits the manifold in the center of the car crosses under the bell housing and runs down the right side. There is a deep indent in the crossmember and floor on the pass side to make clearance for the catalytic converter, heat shielding for the cat and then space for the muffler. In the drivers side the indent in the crossmember not as deep there no indent for the cat and no heat shielding for the cat. There is plenty of room for the muffler. The header collector is on the drivers side under the steering column. I can run from the header to a cat then to a muffler but will still have to move the fuel tank over to make clearance for the tailpipe on the left. I would prefer to go down the right side but this will require me to cross under the trans leaving me with two 90 degree bends. Has anyone added a 6 into 1 header on a slant six F body? What did you do?
Thanks,
Scott
