hey i am building a supercharged slant is but i have one question about pistions what pistons should i use becouse a while back on here i read bout a turbo slant and all his pistons ended up in his oil pan so i want to avoid that and i am gonna go about 8-9 psi of boost and also what else should i know about superchargers

Stock pistons will work fine if you keep the afr correct.

Air fuel ratio = AFR

200,000 mile stock pistons + hone,re-ring,re-bearing + 10LBS of boost + CORRECT AFR = no problems.

Around 11.5:1 under boost conditions.

I think from reading this thread, pistons are the least of your worries.

I tend to run 10.5 or as rich as possible under boost without sacrificing power. the rich mixture cools the air charge and pistons. my luck has been if its not as rich as possible than just the wrong conditions cause lean afr and pistons go by by. but maybe thats just my luck? or that every other motor I've blown hasn't been a /6. they do seem to take allot more abuse than anything else
