In a transmission, if I had a 3.09:1 gear, and the engine was spinning at 1000 rpm, then every minute, the engine would spin 1000 times, and the prop shaft would spin 309 times right? And if the rear end was a 3.23:1, than the axle would spin approximately 99.65 times per minute if then engine was spinning 1000 rpm right? |

1000rpm/3.09 = 323.6 323.6rpm/3.23 = 100.2 |

ok thanks. my numbers are slightly off, but thats what I get for trying to do stuff in my head. So I did understand that. |
