I'm getting ready to turbo my 1973 dodge dart, as soon as I get done replacing the floors, gotta love that rust! I'm planning on making an intake manifold for the car that the turbo will bolt to, as it's going to be a draw through system. I have the ability to make castings of this manifold. Anyone might be interested in something like that? I am 100% going to make a casting, that way I can make myself one for the 66 dart, if anyone else is interested though, I'll figure out some more specs for you. I was thinking about putting together a bolt on turbo kit.... |

do you mean exhaust manifold ? cause thats what the turbo bolts to. Draw thru is intresting, but I think a blow thru setup would be more practical, just my .02, -Mike |

Not necessarily, draw through has a few advantages, and theoretically would work like a draw through blower, like a 671, that's what I'm used to.... I have seen a draw through setup on a sl6 with a 4bbl in which the turbo was bolted directly to the intake, and the exhaust was routed up and through it, then down and out. Of course, since I haven't started on the turbo project, who knows how it will really turn out. I have access to everything I need to do this setup any one of a bunch of ways, so it's really what looks clean, and functions well. Whatever combination that is I will use. |
