Howdy Folks,

The Banquet Weekend will be Jan 23-25, 2009 in Gatlinburg, TN. Come one, come all! I have 13 rooms reserved.

I put down a large deposit on a big "lodge" about 1 mile from downtown Gatlinburg, with 8 rooms, and a 5 room place right next door.

Rooms will be $65-85/nt incl all taxes, assuming we get everyone to come who said they were.

The main lodge has a big common room, game room, hot tub, mountain views, 8' movie screen, you name it...

According to our surveys, we should have about 30 people on one or both of the nights.

Please PM me here to reserve a room (or call cell - 540-818-8712), first come first serve, and if we need more we can reserve another lodge or hotel rooms nearby.

Thanks for your support, racers, and hope to see you all in Gatlinburg for a hoppin' party!

If you haven't been to one of these, come and experience some of the best bench racing this side of the Mississippi, or the Pacific. :wink: :lol: Plans for next year's races and SSRN rules will be discussed. Good food and drink will be ingested.

Glad to see that Norm+Elaine and Frank+Cinda+kids can make it!!

All rooms are filled - several pull out beds we can use for overflow.

There will be a few locals just coming for the day, so we'll have a big crowd - well over 30. If we need more rooms, I can reserve another lodge nearby, or there are many hotel rooms in nearby downtown.

The charge will be $140 for a room for two nights.

I have already put up $800 deposit, so if people could mail me a check for around $60 to hold their room, I would be very appreciative. Thanks!

Coxes are now confirmed so all 13 rooms are full!

Frank, there will likely be pullout sofas for the girls, but may take up on air mattresses if we get that full.
