Yeah I was wondering if the stock 71 slant six rear end handle having a 225 with a 4 bbl carburator? Just a question. Plus If it can how much CFM can it handle? If it cant any size suggestion?

The stock 7 1/4 rear can handle a lot more power then most give it credit for. The key consideration is the condition of the rear. Keep in mind your rear is over 35 years old. These rears have been known to break behind stock motors, and have been know to live behind V-8's. I have been running a 7 1/4 rear in one of my drag cars for 35 years.

I don't understand the question, about the carb/rear relationship.

Yeah its a silly question, I was thinking of doing a 44bl carb setup and i wasnt sure if it would affect the rear end at all. Im trying to learn as much as i can before i start slapping stuff on the engine.

Just a basic answer to your 4bbl question. The more "Built" your engine the more your rear is subjected to. So you need to be thinking of that when your decided to do a neutral drop at 6K.

Or is that from 6k rpm neutral to drive? I dont know.

Yeah I know this, I have another dumb question, I have never swapped different rear ends before, anything i should know before i do so?

It will depend on What rear we are talking about. You will most likey need to get the drive shaft shortened. Tere are just too many variables to even list. Such as U joints, Spring Perches, Springs, Brakes...etc
SOOO which rear we talking about 8 1/4, 8 3/4, Ford 8", 8.8" Dana 60 or ???
