Reed and I are getting my "new" engine ('83 hydro motor from a van) ready to put into my Satellite. Reed cleaned it for me (GREAT guy!!) and found letters on the side of the block that say GGGDDD.
Anybody ever seen this before?

Factory bore markings. I've seen these on a few aluminum blocks I've owned, too. I don't know that we'll ever know what letter corresponds to what exact measurement, but that's what they are. Doc has commented on them; see here. |
