I recently put a Super Six intake on 75 Duster with a /6. After having it put on, I feel no real power change. Also, when I give it more than approx 1 in. of the gas pedal down, it dies on me. I have a Carter 2bbl on it btw. What could be cuasing this stall? What could I do to make it perform as it should. -Nick NickiDee119@aol.com |

It's possible that you may be able to get rid of the stalling by adjusting the accelerator pump linkage. In my case I spent so much time adjusting the linkage that I replaced the bend to adjust linkage with a modified turnbuckle. Takes a little effort to change the ends so it'll fit but I've found it makes tuning a lot easier! Matt Quote:

If the timing doesn't advance when the rpm's come up then it will hesitate and backfire through the intake or stall. If you didn't have the problem until you installed the new intake and carb then make sure the accelorator pump is working and adjusted properly. If it is then make sure the carb doesn't have some plugged passages inside. joel_harris@fmo.com |
