Wow. Very cool project. Make it weird and they will come... Where are you located? Any chance you'll make a Slant race sometime? Lou |

Nice...I like the paint job or lack thereof, kinda reminds me of an army truck without the white star |

Where are the races held? The utilitarian, military look was what I was after, I covered the seats with duffel bags and will paint sections with olive drab but retaining most of the patina. |

I went for the delco alternator after trying to get the chrysler to work, I like the single wire hook up of the delco. I used the stock upper bracket and fab up a lower bracket from some c channel I had. ![]()

Im using the stock tranny of the 68 Dart, the 904 I believe. Off topic, how do I resize the picture so they dont come out as large? |

Ah, you noticed I've been following behind you and editing your post markup and photo paste-up, eh? We use BBCode rather than HTML for post markup here. Please take a quick look here and you'll see how to do it. The board automagically resizes images for quick and easy view without blowing up the page size. Clicking on the smaller images opens the big ones in a new window or tab. The alternator adaptor bracket I was talking about is this one. |

There is a big rat rod / under constrcuion / patina rod movement around my area at the car shows in the summer. Pretty cool. Many of them look just like your truck.. the bad thing is that cars from around here dont have patina, they have rot.. I guess you need a SW vehicle to get the surface rust patina without the rot. Good Work Greg |

I'm Mopar through and through and love the slant (I've had about 6), but the old Chevy 235 is about as bulletproof as the slant. I had a 53 Chevy PU with one in it and loved it |

Yeah, but with the slant you get 12 ports and pressure fed rod bearings! |

I would have never cut up an all original running truck. The cab and frame were bought for $50(I overpaid). The frame was on the ground, no tires or wheels, no engine, no doors, no glass, no bed, and had been this way for decades, and since I had the slant..... |
