Post subject:  63' Valiant dies when warmed up

After driving my Valiant for roughly 10 miles (when it's fully warmed up), it will act like it has stalled on me, then it'll come back to life after a few seconds (repeating this cycle a couple of times), then soon dies and refuses to restart until it cools down a bit. I figure this is an ignition problem, but because it's intermittent, I can't track it down. Any ideas as to what I should replace first? My first guess is the coil, but I'd like to hear your opinions first.

Do you know if you are running stock ignition? If you have points try replacing the condensor.
Maybe try hotwiring the coil direct to ensure that it is not the start switch circuit etc.
if you ahve electronic ignition (my 63 got converted) it might be the ig box.
