Hey folks, I'll soon be making a collar to press a Mustang T5 pilot bearing into the hub of my crankshaft. I have a big hub and a small hub crank, and I'd like to make collars to fit each. I've measured the big hub ID at 1.815", but I'm a little leery of my cheap calipers measurement. The small hub is around 1.56", if I remember right. Does anyone have info on what the measurements are for these hub ID's, both big and small? Also, how much spread (tolerance) do these have if you look at many cranks? Another reason for this question is that I want to make a collar beforehand and have it fit the engine that's in my running car right now, which I cannot measure until I pull the trans. Lou, I show the 60-67 as 1.562 and the 68 & up at 1.815, looks like your caliper is pretty close. The prints I have show the tolerance on this hole as +/- .002 (count on a .005 total spred to be safe) I can measure a few cranks if needed but my calipers are not that new either!
