| Post subject: | Identification Plate Location |
Hello! Our company has an Aircraft Tow Truck (tug) model JG40PT-9 with an H-225 Slant V-6 Engine. Two bearings are going bad and we intend to either repair or replace this motor. However, I am having difficulty locating any indentification information, such as a stamping or ID plate. Where can I find such info on this motor? Thanks! |

The water pump end of the engine, spark plug side, on top of the block (where the head bolts down). On that corner, facing UP is a stamping pad that juts out from the block. On cars/trucks it’s usually under/around the alternator bracket but some have the alternator on the other side. Danny |

Numbers are: • 6 K 2258851 2 • 0 3or5 4140 • 091 Numbers in red are best I can see. I had to clean away a bunch of rust & dirt/grease. This is where I found the numbers: Best Regards, David Caras Program Manager, Flight Global Technical Systems Airborne & Space Division Tel: 727-210-1974, ext 207 Fax: 727-210-1975 Cell: 727-744-3399 DCaras@GTSStPete.com www.gtshq.com |

H'mmm...numbers are ambiguous as written. Did you leave out any spaces in amongst them? Your images don't display, looks like you forgot to paste in their location. Try again, please? They'll help. Also report what numbers you find cast (not stamped) into the side of the block under the manifolds, and whether there are three or five freeze plugs in that same location. |
