Any chance the fender tag from this car is available for transcription? It'd be a heck of a lot easier to read accurately... |

Urf, still pretty tough to read. Transcript is better than pencil rubbing. I'll give it a stab: V: Valiant/Duster range L: Low price/trim class 29: 2-door Fastback (Duster/Dart Sport) body C: 225 1bbl engine 4: 1974 model year B: Built at Dodge Main (Hamtramck, MI) plant 105687: Vehicle serial number E24: 225 CID 1bbl 6-cylinder engine D34: A904 Torqueflite automatic transmission JY9: Main body paint: Tahitian Gold metallic, PPG #2510 M2YW: Interior: Medium trim class, gold vinyl bench seat 000: Upper door frame: Full door panel 423: Built April 23, 1974 163416(?): Vehicle order number JY9: Roof paint: Tahitian Gold metallic, PPG #2510 U: Built to US market specifications G11: Tinted glass, all windows G52: Chrome remote driver's sideview mirror H51: Integral AC + heat/defog N76: Coolant recovery system R11: Radio, Music Master AM V5X: Mouldings, bodyside, w/black vinyl insert L2(?): Donno, maybe not transcribed right. Thanks a million Dan! Thanks for making the extra effort to work through the lousy rubbing. The L2 and 914 are indeed correct. I double checked. The interior is all white except for the brown and gold stripes on the inserts. Interesting. |
