| Post subject: | B-body w/Dutra duals |
Just got my Super-Six intake and carb and I'm going with the dutra-dual set up. All of this is going in my '67 Belvedere Station Wagon with Std. transmisson(3 on the tree). Will there be any problems in the shifting linkage and the DD's? What carb. linkage will I need? I've read a lot of the posts on the Dutra's but none in a B-body. Anyone out there with a B-body. Am I going to have to fabricate the exhaust from the Dutra's flanges or is there an exhaust made that bolts up to the Dutra's??? Will these modifications help this station wagon? You will have lots of room to route the pipes in the B - Body chassis so there are no worries there, even with the 3-speed. If you use a modified factory casting for the rear manifold, then use the factory head pipe as a template for that pipe... build it out of 2 inch tubing. The front pipe will need to be custom made but any good exhaust shop will make fast work out of that. DD |

Doc, what about dual Dutra's? (this is just for future search clarification) |

Dual Dutra Duals work fine but with the following limitations: - No intake heating - No factory choke provisions - DDDs can not be used on a 170 "low block" - DDD will not clear the starter when used with an RG727, the 727 automatic trans with the SL6 only case. DD |
