| Post subject: | Electric Choke Delay Quest |
Dan I have been looking around for a less expensive electric choke delay than Holley's little black box #45-267 for about 43 bucks. There dose not seem to be any devices to be had that do the same job. Do you know of any other delay on the market? |

Not sold separately, no, only as a part of the Electric choke kits. |

Jegs & Summit both list Holley's thermister "choke delay" as a stand alone item. But, man o man 43 bucks plus shipping is on the rugged side for something so simple.Sorry, my cheap Yankee side is showing again. |

A Ballast Resistor would slow it down, not delay it........... But you'd have to be careful that the resistance isn't too high, or the choke won't fully open........... Or add a relay and make it semi-automatic. You manually turn on the current to the choke.... (but don't forget to turn it on) |
