What could a stroked 225 (260) handle with forged internals?

It really depends a lot on how light you can make the rod and piston. The distribution of mass in the slant crank is not conducive to high RPM as the crank flexes which hammers bearings and fatigues the crank.

Check out this thread... http://slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32206

We start getting into strength issues about 1/2 way down the 2nd page.

The big limiting factor on a 260 ci Slant will not be RPM, it will be having enough head flow to make any useable power in the upper ranges.
