Just that, Im still looking for a head gasket, if anyone knows the whereabouts of a new head gasket for my alum. slant six, it would be greatly appreciated, I missed one step when I installed mine, and got what I deserved. ANYONE? (doug dutra has one left, thats not an option  )do0dlebug19@aol.com |

I have some calls into gasket suppliers, looks like I have a lead on some in Canada, need to make some more calls next week. Grab a Hemmings and call anyone who may carry new old stock gaskets, if they do not have one, ask them if they know who may, follow the leads. You are one of 3 people currently looking for these and last time I chased these, I found 8 and bought 6, (the other two were overpriced so I passed) Here are some part numbers for the Alm. Blk SL6 special Head Gasket: > Mopar # 2128279 - # 2240628 (Full Set) > McCord - (MC)6530M > Fel Pro - # 8000sb > Victor - # 1184 > Fitzgerald - # 0827 I do not have a p/n for Detroit Gasket but they may have done one. Doug, for you being the middle man, I will over pay you for the gasket if you buy it, just let me know a price, and ill fill your pocket too,I just need a gasket, cars dont run good taken apart hehehehe I went to the speed shop, and sat there and searched through hemmings, I dont know why, I didnt see any gasket suppliers, I couldnt believe it. If I have bad luck with this gasket, for sure I know the problem lies with to much compression. I have decided to stud the head, should be a little stronger. Ive been talking with a few speed shops around sacramento, not much happening with slant six alum. head gaskets, ive called a few misc. places, they dont even know there was a factory alum. slant six.
