We have Ryan's 84 truck running with the new MSD and the 4 barrel. It will go for exhaust early this week and then to the Mason Dixon Race Sunday.

It does have an obvious miss and and number 2 cylinder is the culprit. It has no compression on #2 cylinder. I pulled the valve cover and it appears that the valves are moving (Not stuck open) so is it likely it has a burnt valve? Is there anything else I should check on it? It will have to be realitively simple things for right now because we want to race it Sunday if at all possible. It may just run as a slant 5!!

This is a Hydro motor by the way. I was thinking of running some of uncle Dan's engine cleaning concoction through it just to see what will happen. It needs the oil changed anyway.

Try some Rislone to see if the lifter frees up or some tranny fluid since your changing the oil soon.
